Mr. Dunne was the father of Harry Dunne and the husband of Mrs. Dunne. He is mentioned in Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd as well as in the 13th and final episode of Dumb and Dumber: The Animated Series titled "Harry Canary."
History[]
Mr. Dunne is not seen in the film as he died several years before his son encountered Lloyd Christmas. His passing was tough on both his wife and Harry. After his wife dies, Harry is adopted by a Chinese couple, who are implied to have been close friends with Harry's biological parents. Both Harry and Lloyd completely blocked him and Mrs. Dunne out of their minds, promoting Harry to think the Asian couple were his real parents.
He is mentioned again in Dumb and Dumber To when Harry is trying to look for a kidney. When Lloyd vows to search for Harry's real parents, he is reminded by Harry's adoptive father that they are dead.
